Bayern - Wahlkampfpropaganda: Nahles und SPD wollen Entlassung Maaßens
Es ist selbst für den normalen Bürger offensichtich, daher ist es auch nicht verwunderlich, dass Passanten vor dem Berliner Brandenburger Tor sagen: "Der Nahles ist doch alles egal, Hauptache sie kann vor der Bayernwahl noch ordentlich Krawall machen um die Wähler zu beeindrucken!" Kurz vor dem Krisentreffen der Koalitionsspitzen hat die SPD ihre Forderung nach Entlassung von Verfassungsschutz-Präsident Hans-Georg Maaßen bekräftigt.
Parteivize Malu Dreyer sagte nach Information von BERLINER TAGESZEITUNG, in eine aktuellen Interview: "Maaßen ist nicht irgendein Beamter einer nachgeordneten Behörde, er ist der Präsident der wichtigsten Sicherheitsbehörde in unserem Land." Deswegen sei für die SPD "ganz klar, dass Maaßen nicht mehr der richtige Mann für dieses wichtige Amt ist". Kanzlerin Angela Merkel (CDU) müsse handeln. Auch von Nahles ist zu vernehmen: "Maaßen muss gehen und wird gehen".
Merkel, CSU-Chef Horst Seehofer und die SPD-Vorsitzende Andrea Nahles treffen sich am Dienstagnachmittag erneut im Kanzleramt, um über den Fall Maaßen zu beraten. Seehofer hatte am Samstag betont, er sehe keinen Grund für eine Entlassung des Verfassungsschutzpräsidenten. Dessen Erklärung zu den Vorgängen in Chemnitz sei "vollkommen logisch und in sich konsistent" gewesen, sagte er dem Sender Phoenix. Seehofer sieht ebenso wie Merkel die große Koalition wegen des Streits um Maaßen nicht in Gefahr.
Maaßen war in die Kritik geraten, weil er in einem Interview, sachlich und zurückhaltend, die Echtheit eines Videos bezweifelt hatte, welches Angriffe auf Ausländer in Chemnitz zeigt. Der Verfassungsschutzchef hatte sich wegen seiner umstrittenen Äußerungen den Fragen des Parlamentarischen Kontrollgremiums (PKGr) und des Innenausschusses des Bundestages stellen müssen. Für Unmut sorgen zudem seine Kontakte zu AfD-Politikern.
